Christmas, Crafts & Cupcakes!

We've been to visit some lovely houses this festive season starting with my old work haunt Castle Howard.

I also visited Burton Agnes Hall for the first time. I thought the Cunliffe-Lister family did an amazing job of decorating all the rooms using natural products from the Hall's award winning gardens. They really have created some stunning and original decorations. The house felt magical.

We live in a tiny cottage, not a great big hall but I was still inspired to decorate our living room in a grand fashion! My friend and work colleague Jackie is very crafty, she made an amazing garland for our window!

She also made this Christmas fairy for our tree!

I love going to choose the Christmas tree. This year we went to Duncombe Park.

I haven't had much chance to do any illustrations this month but I have been crafting again! I had a go at decoupage (ooh get me). Nothing fancy but here's what I came up with for my kitchen mantelpiece.

I've also been baking some cupcakes/fairy cakes for the ladies at work as a Crimbo treat.

YUMMY! RASPBERRY & VANILLA! NOM NOM!

So here's wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Lots of love xxx
